BLOODSHED IN KARIEGA: Teenager Killed in Domestic Dispute

A tragic incident unfolded in Kariega on Sunday night, leaving a community in shock and grief. An 18-year-old teenager, Leewin Solomon, lost his life in a domestic dispute that escalated into violence. According to police reports, a 52-year-old man was involved in a heated altercation with the victim at a house in Parakiet Street, Rosedale.

The situation took a deadly turn when the teenager allegedly stabbed the suspect in the shoulder. In response, the suspect drew his 9mm Glock pistol and fired shots at the victim. Solomon was rushed to the hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries upon arrival.

Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg, police spokesperson, ” The police responded swiftly to the incident, and the suspect was arrested at the scene. confirmed that the suspect is facing charges of murder and will appear in the Kariega magistrate’s court later this week”

” The firearm used in the incident has been confiscated for further investigation.
