DANGEROUS POLE’S A TICKING TIME BOMB

BY ZOLA NKETHE

THE residents are being terrorised by an electric pole!

Residents of Soweto-on-Sea, Nelson Mandela Bay, said the electric pole had been hanging over their houses for weeks.

And while the wild wind the area is famous for keeps blowing hard, the residents believe tragedy can strike at any time if the pole on Mqwashu Street is not fixed soon.

Phindiwe Billy (46) told Daily Kasi News there was strong wind and rain on 6 April.

“The blew the pole around. We reported it immediately to the municipality and the ward councillor. Municipal workers came later on the same day and promised to come back,” she said.

“But we haven’t seen them since. They never came to fix it.

“It is a ticking time bomb. We are worried about the safety of our kids and our houses.”

Her neighbour Monwabisi Nkone (47), said: “We don’t know what else we need to do for the municipality to fix the pole.

“I’ve switched off my fridge because I’m scared. When this pole falls down it is going to cause a lot of damage,” she said.

“We are living in fear of being killed by this pole.”

Nelson Mandela Bay municipal spokesman Mthubanzi Mniki said: “Residents should report the pole at 0800 2050 50 and get a reference number. As soon as they provide us with it we can investigate what happened.”

The 69-year-old from Motherwell in Gqeberha said the trouble started after she had been robbed of her cold drink.

Gogo Cabangile said: “I was coming back from a local spaza when two schoolboys who were with the young girl took my cold drink from me.

She said she spoke to the girl because she is her neighbour.

She said she called the girl a bitch because she was angry about being disrespected.

“They walked away, but later that day the girl approached me. She started pushing me around and asked me why I called her a bitch, and hit me. There was nobody besides her friends who could help me. That is why I walked away.”

Gogo Cabangile suffered bruises and she is going to the clinic for treatment.

‘DRUG ADDICT MKHULULI STRIPPED GOGO’S SHACK , GETS MOERED

BY PHUMLANI SAUL

HE WANTED tik but he didn’t have the money to buy his fix.

Mkhululi khaki (24) decided the only way to get cash was to strip his gogo’s shack , but residents were not going to allow him to leave her homeless.

Residents of Blakkiesdrop, kariega, cornered the 24-year-old, gave him a few lashes and made him put the zinc he had stolen back. By the time the DKTeam arrived on the scene on 24 November, he had already nailed all the zinc sheets back.Mkhululi said he was sorry but his craving possessed him.

“I only saw my gogo’s shack as a quick way to raise money to buy drugs,” He said

Mkhululi didn’t open a case against the residents who moered him and his gogo didn’t open a case against him. He admitted he was wrong and deserved to be punished with a sjambok. His gogo NoAmen (85) said Mkhululi was taken to a rehabilitation centre in 2021 but recently relapsed.

“He was okay after coming home and vowed not to do drugs again but now I see he’s started again,” she said. The gogo blamed the company her grandson kept.

“We have warned him on several occasions to choose his friends more wisely but he keeps going for bad guys. I’m just asking for prayers for my grandson to recover.”

The gogo said stripping her shack was very extreme and she was scared for what he would do next.

She said he had been living with her ever since his mum died many years ago.

AMAPARA STEALS FROM THE DEAD

BY AZOLA JANUARY

TOMBSTONE vandalism is increasing at several cemeteries and families are worried.

Some families are talking about having people to guard the resting places of their ancestors.

On Wednesday, 28 June, a woman spotted two guys leaving with pieces of a tombstone in a wheelbarrow at Mathanzima Cemetery, KwaNobuhle near Kariega .

There was nothing she could do because she was alone and feared that she might be attacked if she confronted the men.

This is also happening at Bucwa and Jubilee cemeteries in kariega.

Nomangesi Bhistoli (33) said: “A month ago I visited my brother’s grave at Mathanzima and next to it there were two destroyed graves.”

Sphamandla Nkohli (38) said last month he chased away a boy who had a wheelbarrow with pieces of a tombstone.

When I questioned where he found the pieces of stones, he ran away and left behind the wheelbarrow,” he said.

Elizabeth Mabona (55) said her sister’s grave was also vandalised three months ago, a few days before the unveiling ceremony.

“We were devastated because no one in the family is employed. We had to cancel the unveiling ceremony. We don’t know how long it’ll take for us to raise money again,” said Elizabeth.

Daily Kasi News team spoke to Community spokesman Reggie Moni , who said vandalism was happening because fencing was being stolen, leaving gaps for anyone to access the cemetery. He said that there were security guards at the gates who searched vehicles that came in and out of the cemetery.

“Cemeteries are huge and we can’t have eyes everywhere. One can be patrolling on one side and another person might be doing something else on the other side. We need help from communities,” he said.

SUGAR MAMA CAPTURED MY SON!

BY PHUMLANI SAUL

SHE had a disagreement with her son three months ago and he ran away from home.

The 17-year-old is now playing house with a 37-year-old woman.

And when his mum went to fetch him, he refused to go home with her.

The 47-year-old mum from Gunguluza area 9, Kariega , told Daily Kasi News : “He told me he was happy where he was.

She said they tried talking to the sugar mama about kicking the boy out of her house, but she didn’t.

The mum said she went to the cops, but they kept telling her they didn’t have police vans.

She said she was terrified the woman might be abusing her son sexually.

The sugar mama’s neighbour told the DK news the boy was not the first one to live with the woman.

She accused her of preying on young men.

Different boys have been living with her since her boyfriend left,” said the neighbour.

She said the boy was also in charge of the sugar mama’s bank cards.

When the DK Team visited the sugar mama, she denied being in a relationship with the minor.

She said the boy was her son’s friend and ended up staying with her after he visited and stayed until late.

She then suggested he stay a night and leave in the morning.

“He never left. I told him to go home when his mother came for him.

“He left, but didn’t go to his mother’s house. He only comes to my house to visit,” she said.

However, she admitted the boy keeps her bank cards as she sends him to the shops.

Kariega police spokesman, Captain Andre Sekoei, said it would be difficult to get involved as there was no case opened.

He advised the boy’s mother to involve social workers.

CREATURE MOERED VINCENT AT NIGHT!

BY NOMALUNGELO BOOi

VINCENT WEARS a helmet to protect him from the merciless creature that moers him every night.

He can’t say what his attacker looks like because he can’t see
it . . .

BUT VINCENT’S HORRIBLE WOUNDS ARE VERY REAL!

“It beats me all over my body and it force feeds me with human kak,”

said 49-year-old Vincent Matoto from Moses Mabhida location at, Kerkwood Eastern Cape.

“I have been at war with this creature for four years and I am losing the battle.”

I have been at war with this creature for four years and I am losing the battle.”

So desperate is the exhausted and terrified man that he has made a helmet out of an old soccer ball and a beanie in the hope that he can protect his head.

“Just before it starts with me I become very drowsy and I fall into a dead sleep. Then I wake up with scratches, bruises and pain,” he said.

Vincent said he has a recurring nightmare.

“In my dream I am running with children to a stream, but as we get to the stream the children stop running and only I get in the water. But then the water turns into kak that chokes me.”

The father of four said the creature dislocated his arm, making it impossible for him to carry heavy things and forced him to give up his job.

“I was a plumber but with a broken arm I can’t do my job. I had to quit and stay at home,” he said.

Vincent said prophets and pastors have failed to save him from his invisible creature horror. He has spent more than R60 000 to try and fight the creature with medical as well as cultural doctors, but nothing has worked.

“The hospitals say they can’t find anything wrong with me. They can’t explain my wounds. The sangomas recommended that I should twasa to appease the ancestors but that hasn’t helped either.”

Said Vincent: “All I want is to get rid of this creature so that I can work again and provide for my children. Is that too much to ask?

Grace Matoto (45), Vincent’s wife, said it breaks her heart to see her husband suffer from something she can’t even see.

“He goes to bed with all his clothes on,” said Grace.

“I can’t understand what is happening to him. After the beating he just wakes up confused. I want him to go back to being himself.”

Sangoma Dumezweni Mahabuke said Vincent needs to be honest.

He got the creature either from sleeping with a married woman or breaking a woman’s heart,” said Dumezweni.

“A woman who drinks Mam’unyngichaza or uses muthi on her vagina can summon a creature to attack the man.

“The creature is no tokoloshe,” said the sangoma.

BEN 10 LIVES IN FEAR!

BY PHUMLANI SAUL

XOLILE knew he loved his sugar mama when she told him she loved his strong 4-5.

But the trouble started when he sent her a very private message meant for her eyes only.

THE MESSAGE, LIKE THE CHEATING SUGAR MAMA, ENDED UP WITH THE WRONG MAN.

Xolile Sizani (25) stares at the messages on his phone and confesses to Daily Kasi News he is living in fear.

And he has reason to be scared.

Among other things, the scary WhatsApp and SMS messages promise him he will be struck by lightning, vutha will set his bed on fire and he will see worms coming out of his 4-5 before he dies.

Xolile, who lives in KwaNobuhle, kariega in the Eastern Cape said the threats are coming from his sugar mama’s husband, Phumzile Bele (62).

Xolile said he met his lover in a tavern about 18 months ago.

“She told me she was starved for sex and was looking for someone young with a strong 4-5,” he said.

She said he was that man.

“She asked me to be her Ben 10 so that I could satisfy her and I fell in love with her,” he said.

But then Xolile’s lover had to go back to her husband in Khayamnadi, Despatch, about 20km away. “I sent her a message checking if she had arrived safely,” he said. But it appears her phone was with her husband.

“He phoned me and I immediately dropped the call,” said the young man.

At first, Phumzile kept phoning Xolile from private numbers but then, on Saturday, he took the harassment to a new level.

“He left death threats on my WhatsApp and Facebook page and he is serious,” said Xolile.

One messages read: “U slut uzoyeka ukuthatha abafazi babantu. U hv pushd me 2far.”

It continues with death threats and a serious warning: “Kudala ndikucenga ndisithi leave my wife alone sifebe,”

Another threatens it’s payback time.

“Ukuba ndingubani u don’t mess namabhaca uzayibamba ngesandla lo pipi yakho,” reads another.

Xolile said Phumzile told him he was an iBhaca from Pondoland and he could do anything he wants with his life.

“I want to end the relationship, but my girlfriend refuses. She insists that she loves me and not her husband,” Xolile said.

Phumzile admitted he had sent the threatening messages to the Ben 10.

“What am I supposed to do when this boy is after my woman?” the angry man asked.

“He can get me arrested if he wants to, but that is my wife.”

The sugar mama got angry when the SunTeam visited her.

“Mind your own business!” she said and slammed the door.SAPS Warrant Officer Van Niekerk
advised Xolile to open a case.
