Addressing attendees, Mange said the Mayibuye movement was committed to restoring dignity and improving living conditions for residents.

Luthando “Mpompo” Mange Leader of Mayibuye told Daily Kasi News “Our mission is simple: to serve the people. We cannot sit back and wait while our communities suffer. We are fixing roads, addressing service delivery concerns and bringing hope back to the people of KwaNobuhle. Change starts when communities stand together,” said Mange.

Residents praised the work being done by the organisation, particularly efforts to repair potholes and improve infrastructure in several parts of the township.
KwaNobuhle resident Xoliswa Gomomo said she had seen a noticeable difference in her community.

“Mpompo is doing a great job. In some areas he is doing better than the ANC government. Most of the streetlights are now working and he is busy fixing potholes here in KwaNobuhle. We appreciate what he is doing because we can see the results with our own eyes,” said Gomomo.

The event also highlighted the importance of community safety and cooperation between residents and law enforcement.A representative from SAPS KwaNobuhle welcomed initiatives that encourage community involvement and development.
“When communities work together to improve their environment, it contributes positively to safety and social cohesion.

We encourage residents to continue partnering with law enforcement in building a safer KwaNobuhle,” the SAPS representative said.

The gathering ended with a renewed commitment from community members to support local development initiatives and work together to tackle the challenges facing KwaNobuhle.

For many residents, Youth Day was not only about remembering the heroes of 1976, but also about inspiring a new generation to take responsibility for building stronger communities.
